Ted Kanarek

Ted joined Data Journey in 2023 to build out the institutional focus and oversee the business development and investor relations functions at the firm. In that capacity Ted is forming capital limited partner relationships with institutional investors and providing a dedicated focus in the ongoing expansion of our overall business effort.

Prior to joining Data Journey, Ted has amassed a 20+ year career in various institutional business development and investor relations roles for a variety of alternative asset management firms. Those firms focused on real estate, infrastructure, hedge funds, private equity, venture capital and special situations.

Ted oversaw the marketing and business development efforts at Citi Capital Advisors and its $19 billion alternatives business. That platform focused on hedge funds, private equity and infrastructure and real assets. Ted's work experience also includes time with First National Realty Partners, Allianz Global Investors, Nicholas Applegate Capital Management, Systematic Financial Management, GE Asset Management and the consulting firm Callan Associates.

Ted also provides consulting guidance to a multi-family office, Arrivato, where he serves as a governing board member and augments the overall due diligence efforts for the global families that leverage that investment platform; targeting specific real estate and infrastructure co-investments.Ted graduated from Seton Hall University with an MBA in Finance.

Ted also received his B.S. from Seton Hall University with majors in Biology and Mathematics.

Ted's hobbies include serving as a collegiate level soccer referee assigned to various Division 1 and Division 3 conferences in NJ, NY, PA and CT.
